The Malibu Unification Negotiations Committee (MUNC) met last night, August 2nd for their regular weekly meeting.  The negotiation team, made up of three Santa Monica members and three Malibu members, has engaged in several weeks of fact gathering with the assistance of School Services of California, Inc. and the Procopio Law Firm.  Last night, the members of the MUNC decided that they have gathered enough facts at this point to begin negotiating the actual terms of separating the SMMUSD into two districts.  The two teams are now working collaboratively towards this effort.
