Recap: 32nd Annual Chili Cook-Off
The smell of funnel cake, kettle corn and hot dogs filled the air as well as the sounds of laughter and excitement, August 30th, as AMPS helped kick off the 32nd Annual Malibu Chili Cook-off.
Located by the entrance our AMPS booth was again a popular stop off spot for the locals for the second year in a row. The Cook-off was a hubbub of activity, as teens, children and parents hustled about, and at one point the line to get in, wrapped around the block. It was wonderful seeing everyone and exciting to seeing so many people sporting their AMPS t-shirts, tote bags and AMPS temporary tattoos. We had a fantastic time meeting and speaking with old and new supporters of AMPS and handing out our swag items.
“It was great seeing everyone on Friday night. We had a fantastic turnout and we appreciate all of your support. It’s clear, Malibu parents are excited and more than ready to have locally controlled Malibu public schools. Please keep the support, advocating and endorsing of AMPS going! Thank you everyone who stopped by on Friday to support AMPS at the Chili Cook-Off! We’re touched by all of your help and enthusiasm!!!” said President Craig Foster. “We’ll see you all again next year at the Chili Cook-off!”
